Showcase lighting selection guide

Use this checklist to collect the details needed for product selection, a quotation or a replacement-part enquiry.

Share a project brief

1 / Measure the display.

Record the inside width, depth and height of each cabinet, the size of the objects and the distance from the proposed light position to the display. Include a dimensioned sketch when available.

Mark mounting surfaces, clearances, cable routes and the location and service access of the power supply.

2 / Describe the lighting need.

List the display materials, the area to illuminate and any preferred beam or colour temperature. For an existing installation, record the exact luminaire and option references.

Zoom describes beam adjustment; it does not by itself establish dimming support. Check control requirements against the exact model.

3 / Verify the complete system.

Track & mounting

Match the track profile, mounting method, length and feed connection to the selected system.

Power supply

Check the exact input, output, control method and connectors against the selected luminaire specifications.

Connectors

Confirm direction, dimensions and whether the part provides a mechanical joint, electrical connection or both.

Check each interface and model reference. Do not infer compatibility from appearance, magnetism or voltage alone.

4 / Check the purchasing list.

List each luminaire, track length, driver and connector separately with its model, option and quantity. Identify items already owned and items still required.

Review the included-items list for each product. For samples or a complete kit, confirm the bill of materials and quantities before ordering.

5 / Prepare the project handover.

Provide the destination, required quantities, target project date and any sample or drawing requirements. Confirm preparation, consolidation handling and transit separately when reviewing the quotation.
